The Most Powerful Weapon of the Future is Your Mind…or is it?

I woke up with that title in my head (minus the “or is it?”). My only explanation is that either current events were rumbling through my mind as I slept, or, as I’d rather presuppose, the thought was vibrational. This seems much more likely, as I spend absolutely NO time whatsoever watching the news or keeping up with “current events.”

However, “current events” are everywhere. Subliminally creeping into our every thought, our every cell, our every emotion at every turn. From humans we encounter who still believe there’s an actual viral threat and still wear masks outside (maybe even inside), to businesses that still don’t realize their decline in patrons is due to their holding on to “mandates” way past their expiration date, to neon signs on highways flashing “Stay Safe. Get your Shot.” rather than posting appropriate driving directions, the F.E.A.R. vibration is everywhere. When, in fact, fear is nothing more than Fake Evidence Appearing Real.

We’re living in a time of mass hypnosis.

Psychology “experts” (a very loose term these days), claim that all it takes is three (3) repetitions for humans to start believing something is fact. So if it’s that easy to be brainwashed, then why do we keep repeating all those thoughts and actions we don’t want to call into our lives? Why aren’t we all asking why we keep focusing on the drama and the horror?

Most would probably answer, “”Have you seen the world?!?!? What else are we supposed to focus on if not this “reality”? What will happen if I take my eyes away for even one minute? What disaster will strike me down?“”

As fair and (sort of) logical as that sounds from our current world view, I’d like to propose a way forward that’s potentially as out-there “illogical” as the last two and a half years of this lifetime have been.

As we’ve all learned by now, nothing crazy is impossible anymore. And for those of us reading this who’ve been going about our lives either believing all the “illogics” that have been shoved down our throats, or shaking our heads at the “new rule of the day” we’ve been forced to follow despite its nonsense, I’d like to ask for that same leniency for this potentially novel idea.

Some, if not most, will by now have heard of the Law of Attraction. Some still call it positive thinking, but I’d like to proffer that the two are not the same, and they do not bring about the same results.

In January 2018, while living in a roach infested apartment, with a broken down car I still owed to the bank, and a repetitious job with a boss that had a huge stick up her ass, I thought I was at one of the lowest points in my life. Until a few months later, when my best friend died within a couple of months of being diagnosed with cancer.

It was as I cried my heart out and felt sorry for myself, that I thankfully got a major flu and was forced to take two weeks off work – at which point I re-started watching Wayne Dyer on YouTube. I needed the rest and the time to figure out what the hell I’d done to God or the Universe, or to whatever was out there – that mystical, mysterious “Being” that I’d believed in all my life – that was now “making me” live through all of this drama and trauma, and apparently as deaf to my pleas as I was to Its messages. It was through binge watching Wayne, that I discovered Esther Hicks, the channel for Abraham Hicks.

The understanding of the Law of Attraction into first our minds, and then its integration into our core, takes a major belief adjustment for most of us. We think that if we have positive thoughts, we’ll have a positive life. But as many of us can attest to, that’s complete bullshit.

It’s not great thoughts that bring great things into our lives, it’s great feelings. We can think and say the most positive lines ever imagined all day long, but if our heart and gut (2nd & 3rd chakras) are heavy or sad or full of worst-case-scenario angst, what we’re calling in is heavy and sad and angsty. There’s no “fake it ’til you make it” with the Law of Attraction, because it’s vibrational, and vibes don’t lie. Vibes are that feeling you get when someone who appears to be nice and sweet sets off your radar that something is just not quite right with them…there’s no visual reason as to what it is you’re negatively reacting to; your bestie might even tell you it’s all in your head (because she’s all up in hers); but your intuition/gut/vibe is telling you not to trust them. At which point you either choose to listen to Your Vibe, or you listen to your friend’s head. The final choice is always yours – even when you think you don’t have one.

It’s as simple – and as hard – as that.

So how do we make it easier? How DO we live from this place of following our intuition, our gut, our Vibe? This is where meditation and breath come in. They are the crux of the solution.

Now before you run off because I used the overused word meditation, please read on. Meditation doesn’t have to be the intense, twist your body into a pretzel, take an hour to calm your monkey-brain event it’s forever been taught to be. It can be as simple and short as the one-minute meditation.

Each time we stop to take a few deep breaths from the heart and solar plexus centres, and allow ourselves to feel the relief and excitement of our wants as if they’d already happened, we’re moving into alignment. As we feel our breath going all the way up our chakras from Mother Earth to Father Sky, and then back down the chakras from Father Sky to Mother Earth again, we’re calming our body and mental chatter and reconnecting with Spirit, with the You-niverse, and realigning our energies with the Faith-Filled, Im-Possible True ME. It’s in this state of quietude that our life starts to become easy and flowing and magical – an extraordinary experience to behold – because our focus, our intent, our vibration is (finally!) in alignment with our WANT, rather than with the usual “don’t wants.”

It’s been over four (4) years since I finally felt in my heart what the Law of Attraction truly is all about. My process has not been an easy one and requires daily maintenance, but that’s the gift. With each grateful heart-breath I take, it continues to make me grow into the True ME I was meant to be in this lifetime. When you let it, it’s a downstream flow that just keeps on easily flowing.

The fake evidence appearing real is (for the most part) living in the rear view mirror for me. It’s still visible, ever-present, and will even reappear in my ” front view reality” now and then to shake things up. But for as long as I can in any given time span, I’m going to choose, day after day, to Face An Inner Truth (that) Heals. It’s like the saying goes: “Life isn’t measured by the breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.” I’d go so far as to say, It’s in the quality of the breaths you take, that the moments take your breath away.

So take three slow ones right now, why don’t ya? I promise, it only takes a minute.

Light & Love,

~Isabelle Monique~
