An energetic focus…
The full moon on Jan. 25th, like all full moons, symbolizes completions, clarity, and a strong emotional foundation, and it cocoons a tremendous amount of potential for all of us – if we know how to harness its power for the good of our personal evolution.
This month’s Full Wolf Moon in Leo brings with it particular inherent Leo traits, such as fiery passion, energy, creativity, inspiration, and maybe a little bit (or a lot) of stubborn (fixed) Will. This is beautiful potential when you consider some other Leo traits: authenticity, confidence, courage, self-expression, and our relationship to our inner-child.
Considering all of this, it’s fair to say that this full moon is about stepping into our courage and birthing our True-Self out into the World – showing our authenticity, our uniqueness, our talents, our gifts, our abilities…that which we wish to offer the Greater Good because it is the Gift of OUR SELF. With Leo, this offering means that, not only will it come more naturally to us than it ever has before, but it will come with the stamina to see its birthing to completion, and potentially with new understandings that we may not previously have been aware of – for instance, that our True-Selves inherently deserve dignity and self-respect in the World. And why not have some fun while working through all of that?
Of course, Leo isn’t the only one enjoying its time in the sky. The various other planets transiting during this time also have their say and their own particular traits. For instance, the sun journeying through Leo’s opposite sign of Aquarius, the eccentric, community-focussed rebel, whose vision is always towards the future, what it will contribute there, and its willingness to start a revolution to make it happen, brings in a much denser energy. This sun in Aquarius, along with Pluto the dwarf planet of powerful transformation and change who officially just started its 20 year transit in Aquarius, could mean the discovery (or re-discovery) of our self-worth, the metamorphosis of our values system, and the sudden clarity of the immensity of that which we’ve worked hard to achieve. Depending on our own individual chart, these discoveries may hold the unexpected (or long buried) realization that some parts of our established “community” – relationships, affiliations, places, etc. – no longer resonate with who we’ve now become. And when dignity and self-respect finally take a seat at the table of our core values, letting go of the “petulant inner-child” within us who refuses to see, and/or letting go of the petulant (adult) children in our lives who refuse to look in the mirror for fear of seeing necessary change, is often a path we need to embark upon that is filled with “good-byes” that can be arduous to face.
So how do we walk gracefully and easily through this time of Leo full moon, whose energies can have us swinging instantly like a see-saw from an uplifted life, to the dungeons of the unknown? How do we live authentically and allow ourselves to shine in all areas of our lives, when the heart will inevitably be involved?
Even before I’d asked myself these questions this morning, the Blue Rose Dragon (Blue Dragon of the Pleiades) had already made its appearance. I can only presume it showed up to guide us towards heart activation, and to receive, as well as give, Spirit’s healing.
The Focus:
Sitting comfortably in a safe and sacred space, either intuitively or based on the legends below, choose a piece of music that speaks to you, and the chakra that is asking you to bring forth the Blue Rose Dragon’s unconditional love…
Next, welcome in your Blue Rose Dragon, and imagine yourself either sitting in its lap, or being held under its protective and supportive wings…
Take 3 deep breaths in and out, then state the following Focus Phrase out loud 3 times:
“Dear Blue Rose Dragon, I accept your unconditional love and support, so that I may gracefully and easily reclaim and rebirth any unhealed parts of myself.”
Now imagine a closed-bud, blue rose, comprised of 33 petals, sitting at the centre of your chosen chakra… While holding this vision, allow your blue rose to slowly, petal by petal, open up to the World… With each opening of a petal, you’re revealing a little bit more of your vulnerable True-Self along with the immeasurable unconditional love that Spirit holds here in this sacred space inside of you… As each petal gently flutters open, imagine the tiniest reverberation of the breeze it sends out into the World… Can you feel the unconditional love floating like wings off of the petals? Who will this love touch, as it floats out into the Universe? Who will it nurture? Whose way will it guide in the direction of Spirit? Can you see the first stirrings of the Butterfly Effect?
Stay in this meditative state for as long as you wish…
Now, one by one, watch as each fluttering petal gently anchors back into its sturdy stem, entrenching itself in “its seat” in your newly open True-Self… Watch as your Blue Rose Dragon gracefully and easily encloses you within the security and safety of its wings, ensuring that your newfound openness is protected and supported throughout your day… Thank your Blue Rose Dragon for consistently being at your side.
